Minnesota Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM)

Initial Courses and Exams

  • If you are applying for Minnesota CFPM for the first time, you need to complete an initial training course and provide proof that you have passed an approved exam.
  • You must apply for a Minnesota CFPM within six months of passing the exam.

Continuing Education

  • If you are renewing your Minnesota CFPM, you need to provide documentation that you have completed four (4) hours of approved continuing education.
  • Take continuing education between the effective date and the expiration date of your valid state certification. You must apply for renewal of your Minnesota CFPM no later than six months after the expiration date on your state certificate.
